Luxury Watch Consignment in Ottawa | Leo Gallery

Based in Ottawa, Leo Gallery reviews luxury watches for consignment by private appointment. If you are considering selling a Rolex, Omega, Tudor, Cartier, Breitling, Longines or another collectible watch, send the reference, condition, accessories and five clear photographs through our existing review form. We will assess whether consignment may be suitable and send a preliminary proposal for that specific watch before arranging a handover.

Consign a luxury watch in Ottawa

Consignment gives an owner the option of listing a watch for sale through Leo Gallery under agreed terms. It may suit someone who prefers a managed listing and buyer communication to arranging a private sale. A sale price or time to sale is never guaranteed. Leo also considers direct purchase requests; the appropriate route depends on the watch and the owner's priorities.

What happens before you hand over your watch?

  1. Send the details online. Select “Watch” on our form and provide your contact details, brand, reference number, year, condition, box and papers, asking price, service history if known, and five required photographs.
  2. Review your preliminary proposal. If the watch is a potential fit, we explain the proposed commission or fixed fee, any minimum fee, an indicative pricing approach, possible expenses and the expected minimum net proceeds. The proposal can be discussed before you decide to proceed.
  3. Arrange an Ottawa appointment. After an initial agreement, we provide the appointment instructions. Leo operates by confirmed private appointment, not as a walk-in shop. Do not drop off a watch before receiving instructions.
  4. Inspection and written agreement. Physical inspection, authenticity and ownership checks precede final acceptance. The item-specific agreement records the listing price, fee, approved expenses, minimum net proceeds, term and insurance responsibilities.
  5. Listing and payout. If accepted, Leo photographs and markets the watch and handles buyer inquiries. Agreed net proceeds are paid following a final sale, cleared payment and any applicable return or dispute period, according to the signed terms.

Direct sale or consignment?

A direct sale may be appropriate if your priority is an offer after evaluation without waiting for a retail buyer. Consignment may be worth considering if you are comfortable waiting for a buyer under a mutually agreed listing strategy. We review each watch individually; neither route guarantees a particular amount.

Illustrative arithmetic only: If the agreed pre-tax sale price were C$6,200 and the agreed fee were 15% of that price, the fee would be C$930 and the owner's proceeds before any other agreed expenses would be C$5,270. This is not a quote or a published fee schedule. Actual pricing, fees, taxes and expenses depend on the watch and written agreement.

Questions from Ottawa watch owners

Do I need the original box and papers?

You can submit a watch for preliminary review without a full set. Tell us exactly what is included; completeness, condition, provenance and service information can affect whether we accept the watch and the proposed pricing.

When will I know the consignment fee?

After we receive the form and photographs, we will send a preliminary watch-specific fee proposal if the item is a potential fit. Final terms are agreed in writing following inspection, before the watch is listed.

Can I visit without an appointment?

No. Ottawa meetings are private and must be confirmed in advance. The exact meeting instructions are supplied after confirmation.

What if I live outside Ottawa?

Leo reviews requests from across Canada. See our Canada-wide watch consignment process for approved shipping steps. Do not ship a watch when submitting the initial form.
