Seiko Astron HAB009J and HAB010J: Two 1,500-Piece GPS Solar Editions

Seiko Astron HAB009J and HAB010J — digitally edited editorial cover

Official details checked October 7, 2026. Seiko has published the specifications for two Astron Nexter 2026 limited editions: the green-dial HAB009J and burgundy-dial HAB010J. The official Japanese product pages say reservations at designated Seiko channels begin at noon on October 8, with release planned for November 2026.

What Seiko has confirmed

Each reference is limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide, including 500 for Japan. Both pair a faceted all-black titanium case with a dial inspired by crystals formed inside dark rock. HAB009J combines green with yellow-gold-colour accents; HAB010J uses burgundy with pink-gold-colour accents. An additional LWG-certified leather strap is included.

The watches use Seiko’s Calibre 5X63, a solar-powered GPS movement with dual-time display, world time across 38 time zones, a 1/20-second chronograph measuring up to 24 hours, and a perpetual calendar programmed through February 28, 2100. Seiko states an average accuracy of ±15 seconds per month when the movement is not receiving a GPS signal, approximately six months of operation on a full charge, and up to two years in power-save mode.

Case and wearing specifications

The official specifications list a 43.4 mm diameter, 12.4 mm thickness and 50.0 mm length. The titanium case and caseback carry Seiko’s Super Black Diamond Shield coating. Other confirmed details include sapphire crystal with Super-Clear coating, 10-bar water resistance, a weight of 121 grams, luminous hands and indexes, and a numbered limited-edition caseback.

Official price—and what is not yet confirmed for Canada

Seiko lists each reference at ¥352,000 including Japanese consumption tax. That is an official Japan-market price, not a Canadian MSRP. At the time of this review, Leo Gallery did not find an official Canadian product page confirming a Canadian price, allocation or retail availability. Currency conversions, dealer listings and secondary-market asking prices should not be treated as official Canadian pricing.

Leo Gallery's Take

These releases are most relevant to buyers who value practical travel functions and GPS-synchronised timekeeping but still want the lighter feel of titanium and a clearly differentiated limited-edition design. Canadian buyers should verify the exact reference, warranty coverage and authorized-market availability before ordering internationally. The 1,500-piece production figure is official; it does not by itself predict future resale value or scarcity in Canada.
