Announcement date: October 5, 2026. RGM Watch Co. has introduced the Model 501-PC Perpetual Calendar, returning a complication to its catalogue that the Pennsylvania watchmaker says it has not offered since the Model 103-R Minute Repeater Perpetual of the late 1990s.
What RGM has confirmed
The 501-PC pairs a fired enamel dial and blued steel hands with an American-made 316L stainless-steel case. RGM lists a 39 mm diameter, 11.5 mm thickness over the crystal, 48 mm lug-to-lug length, 20 mm lug width and 5 ATM water resistance.
The maker describes the movement as a Swiss automatic RGM-ETA 2892-A2 modified by RGM with a custom DD perpetual-calendar module and a solid-gold winding rotor. Its published specifications include 21 jewels, a 28,800 vph frequency and a 52–56 hour power reserve. The design draws on late nineteenth-century perpetual-calendar pocket watches, according to RGM.
Official price and Canadian context
RGM's product page displays a price of $39,900 for the stainless-steel Model 501-PC. The page does not explicitly identify that amount as a Canadian-dollar price or give a Canada-specific price, so Canadian buyers should confirm currency, ordering terms and final landed cost directly with the maker. RGM has not supplied a basis for predicting secondary-market performance; this announcement should not be read as a resale-value forecast.
Leo Gallery's Take
For collectors in Canada, the appeal is the combination of a classical enamel dial and a perpetual calendar from an independent North American watchmaker. The practical questions are how the watch wears at 39 mm, what after-sales support is available to a Canadian owner, and the confirmed purchase terms. Those details matter more to a buying decision than any unverified claim about future value.
